Lothar Weihofen Appointed CEO of DEKRA Insight

Oxnard, CA – February 17, 2016 – DEKRA Insight, a global leader in safety at work, today announced the appointment of Lothar Weihofen as its Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Weihofen succeeds Colin Duncan, who guided the formation of the DEKRA Insight service unit.
Weihofen joined DEKRA in 2009 as the managing director of the DEKRA Certification Group. Since 2012, he has successfully led DEKRA’s Business Assurance service unit and is a member of the Executive Committee. He has over 25 years of professional experience, including a 12-year international career within Siemens. Before joining DEKRA, he specialized in managing and growing business in the global testing, inspection and certification market and is an internationally-recognized expert in quality and safety services. Weihofen will also continue in his role as head of the Business Assurance service unit.
